My name is Lilia. My mother gave birth to me on Palm Sunday, one of the biggest Bulgarian traditional holidays, one week before Easter.
I like my name. I also liked my mother, who, when she said it, was beaming all over and her eyes radiated happiness. Mom was also very happy that Dad agreed with this choice of hers.
But that is the past. As much as they say that the past should stay in the past, I like to go back to it. When I remember those years, many pleasant feelings begin to rage in my soul.
But dad..We had a special relationship with him. It was dominated by the strong love between father and daughter. He liked to give me advice. With a very elegant and unobtrusive manner.
I have memorized everything he taught me and I have never made a life mistake following his advice. It's not that I haven't made life mistakes. But it only happened when I listened to my heart.
When I graduated high school, the time came when the only child in our family, that is me, Lilia, had to choose the path on which she would continue in life.
