Why are there gaping holes in Hong Kong's skyscrapers

Did you know that skyscrapers in Hong Kong look different? In the middle of them are huge holes known as "dragon gates". According to the principles of Chinese Feng Shui, these holes allow the dragons to fly from the mountain where they live to the water every day. Blocking the dragon's path is believed to bring bad luck.

As many know, Feng Shui is a system of positioning buildings and objects in a way that is in harmony with spiritual forces. The dragon is known as a bringer of luck and prosperity.

It happens that buildings built against the principles of Feng Shui, for example the Bank of China Tower, are blamed for the failure of surrounding companies.

Because of "dragon gates" today, many companies set aside money for consultation with Feng Shui specialists.
