For the first time on May 11, 1851 in St. diocesan school `St. Cyril and Methodius' in Plovdiv initiative Nayden Gerov organize feast of Saints Cyril and Methodius, the creators of the Cyrillic alphabet. In 1857 the feast of Saints Cyril and Methodius was regularly noted in Plovdiv, Istanbul, Shumen, and Lom. Day May 11 is chosen at randomfrom Nayden Gerov this feast is the total of the two saints. In 1892 Mihaylovskivseuchilishtniya wrote the text of the hymn, familiar to every Bulgarian by its first verse: `Go,` nation revived. The hymn `Hymn of St. Kiril and Methodius' and includes 14stanzas, of which we now perform most often the first six. Nikolay Pipkov of 11/05/1900, the music for the anthem.
