Ilinden - Preobrajensko Uprising

Ilinden Uprising, or as they call it short and simple Ilinden uprising exploded in August of 1903. It was an organized revolt against the Ottoman Empire and carried out by the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization, VMRO briefly. At the moment the Bulgarian population was in preparation for it, the date was the day of the prophet Elijah - the evening of Sunday, August 2, 1903. Meanwhile, across the territory of IMRO in Eastern Thrace, the Commission leaders of the Edirne Province, agreed that they are not ready for an uprising, but by a sense of solidarity, voted for its initiation.
